OWNER/DESIGNER
Talia Foster is the owner of Lavish Events by Talia, well known in the Metro Detroit event professional community and an authority in her field. Ultimately, Foster's commitment to learning the latest trends in the industry has transformed her into a triple-threat entrepreneur.
Foster's creativity was discovered when she wowed family and friends with her creative designs at eight years old. As a teenager, she created invitations for countless events. This would eventually give birth to her first company Talia's Creative Printing. Years later she would excel while studying graphic design, event planning and event design. Time management is of great importance when running a business, teaching her daughter to run a business of her own and being a mother; Foster continues to prove to her clients how well she succeeds in doing it all. She credits her drive to succeed -- fueled by support from her family, friends and a network of like-minded business owners -- for her ability to deliver the utmost service to her customers in a timely manner.
Foster is also an advocate of her community and a philanthropist. She has worked and lent her talents to The Rhonda Walker Foundation, TV One, the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), & Henry Ford Hospital. Her work has been highlighted in numerous press material, including Channel 4 news, Live in The D, Fox 2 News Detroit, Michigan Chronicle, TV WARREN, C and G News, Yahoo Lifestyle, & MadameNoir. Foster is an Accredited Event Designer (A.E.D) and obtained her accreditation through the Institute of Wedding and Event Design (IWED), a Behind The Veil Academy Alumni and a certified Teen Etiquette Instructor.
